Malenia’s second phase introduces a new aerial attack, the Phantom Blade. This move requires coordinated dodging, rolling diagonally forward out of her range when she jumps, then rolling twice after the blade lands. Additionally, her Waterfowl Dance attack speeds up significantly. To counter, perform a jumping heavy attack after the first flurry, immediately followed by a jump to clear the second and third flurries.
Performance Insights
Malenia’s Scarlet Aeonia becomes more lethal in the second phase. Use Bloodhound’s Step to dodge the initial bloom, then roll away from the peripheral blades. Alternatively, Pillar of Fire can create a safe zone within the attack. Additionally, Malenia’s increased speed requires faster reaction times. Use light armor or talismans that boost mobility, such as the Winged Sword Insignia or Godfrey Icon, to improve dodging efficiency and survivability.
