Orb Weavers Weaknesses
Orb weavers are generally weak to grounded threats due to their relatively slow movement speed and lack of defensive mechanisms. They rely on their webs to capture prey and escape predators, but if they are grounded, they become vulnerable to attack.
In contrast to aerial predators, grounded threats such as ants, beetles, and other terrestrial insects pose a significant risk to orb weavers. These predators can easily bypass the orb weaver’s web and attack the spider directly. Additionally, orb weavers are not as well-adapted to defending themselves on the ground as they are in the air, making them an easy target for opportunistic predators.
